| Manufacture
The artwork is sketched on one large, single sheet of clay before texture and relief is sculpted to the surface. Next the sheet of clay is cut into smaller tile sized pieces complementary to the design. Then these are numbered, dried and fired.
Colouring is next with glazes being applied by hand, using brush, sponge and spray techniques. The piece will be fired several times at different temperatures before being checked, templated, photographed and packed ready for shipment. |
